Q: My birds
feather broke in the middle and was bleeding all over the place, what can we do
to stop the bleeding the next time this happens? A:
I keep a Blood-Stop powder on hand just for emergencies like this.... You need
to hold the feather between your fingers, using the Blood-Stop powder, apply pressure
until the bleeding stops... I also recommend, if the bleeding doesn't stop in
a reasonable amount of time, that you pull the feather out completely... Just
hold the feather between your fingers and pull, its that easy... and with in a
few weeks a brand new feather will take it's place.. {Image

Q:
My bird bites me, what can I do to get him to stop? A:
When your bird bites you don't let him know it hurts... Try to keep your composure
no matter what! if you show any response to this action you will encourage him
to do it again and again.... When your bird bites you the first thing you need
to do is to push back against him, push him off your hand or perch if that's what
it takes to make him let go.... But don't say anything, hold your breath and tongue...
and when he does lets go praise him.. The most important thing to do now is to
concentrate on his good behavior and not the bad.... If
you need more help, just let me know.... Q:
Do you Bird Sit? A: Yes and No! We only baby-sit birds
that have come from our aviary.... Because of health issues and for the safety
of our lovely birds we can not and will not baby-sit birds that have not come
from our aviary. Q:
How do you hand feed your babies? A: Very carefully!
It takes time and practice and lots of patience, and we use Kaytee Exact Formula! I
found a good video on the Internet that has all the information you'll need to
know about handfeeding baby birds: Handfeeding
Video by Kaytee {http://www.kaytee.com/video/kaytee-exact-300k.asx}
Q: We're not in your area, can you recommend a breeder in the Phoenix or Tucson
area that sells cockatiels? A: Yes, there are several
Top Breeders located in Phoenix and Tucson. If you visit the National
Cockatiel Society, they have a great list of registered aviaries, however,
if you don't see a breeder in your area, just contact someone on that list and
they'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction. One of the
best breeders in Phoenix is ~ www.TopTiels.com
~ He also publishes news letters and articles specifically for cockatiels!
Q:
How much dose it cost to ship your birds? A:
It's very expensive to ship birds and I highly recommend "that if you're
able to" go get your birds yourself...
Please Note: I hurt
my back and I can not drive to the nearest airport that handles live animals,
its over a 130 miles away! ~

I didn't understand how to sprout seeds, could you explain it for me? A:
Sprouted seed are so nutritious that it's like a maga vitamin boost for your birds
~ First ~ Soak the seeds overnight or for at least 12 to 16 hours. I Wide Mouth
Mason Jars and regular window screen under the lids... After soaking the seeds
overnight, simply rinse
and rinse (at least 2 times a day) that's it! As they start to grow and sprout
feed your birds. (More
info) Q:
Should I clip my birds wings? A: Yes and No! None of
the birds in our aviary have clipped wings! But we do recommend clipping the wings
of a bird who's going to a new family! This allows the bird to get used to its
new surroundings and it will be much calmer too! You don't want your new bird
to fly into that big window! When a birds wings are clipped they go through an
altitude adjustment so to speak, and its demeanor is earlier to deal, with especially
during training. Here

City Arizona Sheila, I just wanted to tell you how much
joy our little cocktail has brought into our home! Doug finally named him Buddie
but he didn't seem to like that name! He is now called Ed!!! responds much better
to Ed. LOL. He is sooo smart! He lets us know just what he wants and he wants
to be with Doug all the time to the point Doug will have to hide from him for
a little break! He has the run of the house most of the time but prefers to be
on Doug when ever possible, head, back shoulder, elbow ect. He now puts himself
to bed each night in his "house" he loves that too! Thank you so
much for a loving pet! Vicki & Doug #NCS08 09W-074 Parents:

She is laughing! My dad was playing with my little sister and all of the
sudden we heard Cash make a funny noise, so we stopped playing as asked her what
was so funny, and she did it again, she laughed at us.. She loves being
called pretty bird too. She perks up her head and fluffs her feathers whenever
she hears it. She's starting to fly to my shoulder too. When she did it she surprised
me. LOL. I wasn't expecting her to do that till later. I love her, and she's one
of the most important members of our family, Thank you! #NCS08

Sheila, your birds are the sweetest birds we've had the pleasure
of selling in our store in years and years. We don't praise people that often,
but your babies are worth the effort, for we haven't seen cockatiels as sweet
and adorable as theirs in a very long time. Pet
